First, we map the chatbot affordances identified in prior research and group them in higher-level, overarching affordances through a thematic analysis. Furthermore, we identify areas for future research providing a foundation for researchers aiming to engage with the research area. %G English %Z TC 6 %Z WG 6.11 %2 https://inria.hal.science/hal-03648169/document %2 https://inria.hal.science/hal-03648169/file/512902_1_En_1_Chapter.pdf %L hal-03648169 %U https://inria.hal.science/hal-03648169 %~ IFIP-LNCS %~ IFIP %~ IFIP-TC %~ IFIP-WG %~ IFIP-TC6 %~ IFIP-WG6-11 %~ IFIP-I3E %~ IFIP-LNCS-12896
