In this context, a growing need arises for the development of digital assistance systems to support workers in various fields of activities. Current systems are generally limited to visualizations and visual feedback. Therefore, in the scope of this paper, we take a look at the major challenges and opportunities for the integration of multimodal feedback systems in today’s and future industrial environments. It shows that the integration of multimodal feedback is subject to a complex combination of technical, user-centric and legal aspects. %G English %Z TC 5 %Z TC 8 %Z TC 12 %Z WG 8.4 %Z WG 8.9 %Z WG 12.9 %2 https://inria.hal.science/hal-02060054/document %2 https://inria.hal.science/hal-02060054/file/472936_1_En_17_Chapter.pdf %L hal-02060054 %U https://inria.hal.science/hal-02060054 %~ SHS %~ IFIP-LNCS %~ IFIP %~ IFIP-TC %~ IFIP-TC5 %~ IFIP-WG %~ IFIP-TC12 %~ IFIP-TC8 %~ IFIP-WG8-4 %~ IFIP-WG8-9 %~ IFIP-CD-MAKE %~ IFIP-WG12-9 %~ IFIP-LNCS-11015
