This paper presents both the methodological approach to a solution and its prototypical implementation in a specific use case. The solution presented is utilizing the Internet of Things (IoT) and the data that is constantly being produced by the ships through the Automatic Identification System (AIS) to help overcome this problem. %G English %Z TC 5 %Z WG 5.1 %2 https://inria.hal.science/hal-01699710/document %2 https://inria.hal.science/hal-01699710/file/434860_1_En_55_Chapter.pdf %L hal-01699710 %U https://inria.hal.science/hal-01699710 %~ IFIP %~ IFIP-AICT %~ IFIP-TC %~ IFIP-TC5 %~ IFIP-WG %~ IFIP-PLM %~ IFIP-WG5-1 %~ IFIP-AICT-492
