The data indicate that different firms take different trajectories and approaches towards implementation, which in turn depends on a number of human factors, including participation of employees, training, resistance to change etc. As a result of this study, a model for the implementation of sustainable design is presented. Firms can use the model and the insights for the improvement and adaptation of existing methodologies and for choosing a fitting approach for integrating life cycle thinking. %G English %Z TC 5 %Z WG 5.7 %2 https://inria.hal.science/hal-01524191/document %2 https://inria.hal.science/hal-01524191/file/978-3-642-33980-6_49_Chapter.pdf %L hal-01524191 %U https://inria.hal.science/hal-01524191 %~ LORIA2 %~ IFIP %~ IFIP-AICT %~ IFIP-TC %~ IFIP-TC5 %~ IFIP-WG %~ IFIP-APMS %~ IFIP-WG5-7 %~ IFIP-AICT-384
