Application of technologiessuch as real-time, context-aware, and interactive technologies; augmentedand immersive realities; social media; and location-based services has been particularlyevident in urban environments where technological and socioculturalinfrastructures enable easier deployment and adoption as compared to nonurbanareas. There has been growing consumer demand for new forms of experiencesenabled through technologies. The focus is on ambient media services,applications, and technologies that promote people’s engagement in creatingand re-creating liveliness in urban environments, particularly through arts, culture,and gastronomic experiences.
