In modern world European companies need new competitive factors. Costs along the life-cycle and sustainability could provide two of these. A model to optimize costs and environmental impacts could play a relevant role for engineering the life-cycle of a product. Within this context, the paper conducts a state of the art review of existing solutions. In the end a model is proposed. %G English %Z TC 5 %Z WG 5.7 %2 https://inria.hal.science/hal-01472267/document %2 https://inria.hal.science/hal-01472267/file/978-3-642-40352-1_49_Chapter.pdf %L hal-01472267 %U https://inria.hal.science/hal-01472267 %~ IFIP %~ IFIP-AICT %~ IFIP-TC %~ IFIP-TC5 %~ IFIP-WG %~ IFIP-APMS %~ IFIP-WG5-7 %~ IFIP-AICT-397
