An Instance-Based Approach for the Quantitative Assessment of Key Value Network Dependencies

Abstract

Entailed from challenges in industries which are characterized by competitive economics of scale, like for instance network interconnection, the interest in Value Networks (VN) has significantly grown recently. While most of the related work is focussing on qualitative VN analysis, in this paper we describe an enhanced model of a VN quantification concept and argue for the instance-based orthogonalization of key VN dependency indicators. As a result, the reduced set of such independent indicators is organized around the axes of customers and suppliers in order to form manageable quantification algorithms.
