Multi-agent Product Life Cycle Environment. Interoperability Issues

Abstract

The main goal of this paper is to describe the integrated approach to product lifecycle management in the context of enterprise information system landscape. Product lifecycle management is a part of the common information area in the enterprise. In this work the analysis of enterprise interoperability problems was presented. To classify such problems and solution approaches we use a framework for enterprise interoperability, described by D. Chen at [1].The paper suggests reference architecture for product lifecycle management systems based on multi-agent concept. It promotes understanding of the interrelationships of different lifecycle stages for acquiring and manipulating concurrent engineering knowledge.
