A Systematic Review of Collaborative Networks: Implications for Sensing, Smart and Sustainable Enterprises

Abstract

The formation of collaborative networks advocates the efficient sharing of information and knowledge, agile and intelligent decision making for the improvement of operational, financial and organizational performance. Such configuration is motivated by the technological advances, increasing demand for customized products and dynamism characteristic of the digital era. Sensing, Intelligent, and Sustainable Enterprises (S ^ 3) address a new vision to be disseminated among organizations seeking competitive advantage. Based on the literature on Collaborative Networks and S ^ 3 Companies, the article proposes to systematically review the state-of-the-art of collaborative networks, identifying challenges and future research opportunities present at the intersection of these two approaches. As a contribution of the research, is presented a conceptual framework based on the main results of the review.
